Finding the Area of shape

WALT find the area of a shape in square centimetres.
We explored shapes by covering them with square centimetre cubes and counting how many cubes it took to cover the shape.
We then drew shapes on grid paper and counted how many squares our shapes covered.

Hi there my name is Shiloh and I'll be explaining why it is important to plant trees . give us oxygen .They clean air so that we can breathe new air .

Trees give us shade. People need shade if it is too sunny or if it's raining.

Trees give us wood. For houses and benches and couches .

Trees give us paper. Newspaper, and for doing art .

WALT retell fairy tales Te Reo Maor
WALT making a movie using i Movie

We created this to celebrate Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori ( Maori language week

We created this by taking a video of the little puppets moving. Then we took off any background noise and recorded our voices saying the Te Reo Maori for the fairy tale. We then added titles to show the English translation and who made the video.



next time I do better say the Maori words    what  we did Better was moving the puppets and doing  camera

 It was wonderful to have Tuatara come in and help us with Google Drawings.  It was hard to put the information into our own words.  Google drawings was sometimes frustrating!

WALT use conjunction to complex sentences.

We created this to show the complex sentences we worked on with  our buddy and to 'show off our favourite one .

This is my favourite sentence because I like the descriptive language that I added.

We have been learning about our families.
We have been learning the stories of our families.
We have been learning to tell stories though animations in Slides.
We have been learning to record using Screencastify.

We created this because we wanted to be able to share and save the special stories from our families .





Two things I did well are Animation  and screencastify . Next time I would like to do more Animation.
